Looking down to the col from the summit of the Aiguille Verte at 0720hrs on the 17th June 2004. The Whymper Couloir runs down to the right from the low point on this ridge. Click here to see a picture of one of the many abseils that we had to do on the descent of the Whymper Couloir.
