Once again, thanks, I was totally amazed by the textures I saw in that area, like nothing I had ever seen anywhere else. A really neat area that I kind of stumbled into (thanks to county highpointing)
Unfortunately, this is one of those cases where the pictures just doesn't do it justice. Unseen in the smaller summitpost pic is a band of mtn goats, about 15 of them on the lower portion of one of the ridges. | | Posted Nov 14, 2003 4:43 pm |

Hasn't voted | The hills do look fuzzy: and very colorful. Great shot Dean!
Did you make it to the Enchantments this year?
If you're in California, give me a holler sometime and we'll do some climbing! | | Posted Nov 14, 2003 4:53 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks David. I did indeed make it up to the Enchantments. Unfortunately, after a 5300 foot effort to get to our camp spot, I woke up to snow coming down heavily so my friend and I did a reversal due to nasty conditions.
Thanks for the offer to do some climbing with you sometime, I'd love to get together. Bob Bolton and I are planning on doing Shasta next May. Lots to do down there. Did I ever mention I grew up in Calif? | | Posted Nov 16, 2003 9:18 pm |
