Looking W and up to the rocky...
Looking W and up to the rocky cliffs of Grant Peak (summit of Mt. Baker). Climbers are descending the upper Boulder Cleaver route. The variable Bergschrund is visible above the rope team. The climbing route (this time) passed the crevasse (below the schrund) on the right-end (N) and then traversed obliquely up and to the left (SW) between the lower rock horn and upper rock cliffs of Grant Peak (avoiding the schrund). Photo taken from the toe of the Cleaver 5/29/05.
