| Great hike, wonderful views. But not all was well, we were fired upon by some people target shooting near the buckhorn ranger station. This is actually the second time this has happened to us on the Donner Pass. WEAR BLAZE ORANGE! AND TAKE A WHISTLE!! | ||

| Great day hike/walk for any level. The ridge on the North side gives a great view with very little work. There's even an abandoned stone house at least 80 years old on the West side of the North ridge that only still has the chimney standing. | |
