| This is a very nice hike! I was camped just outside of the park off I-10 and wanted to climb Eagle Mt. so rode my motorcycle up to check things out and saw the hike so did it to scout out the mountain a bit. Climbed up Eagle the next day from the campgrounds. | |

| Hiked it a few years ago with my brother during a camping trip. Nice hike, saw a desert tortoise, Odd sight to see a turtle in the middle of a desert | ||

| We did this as an overnighter - I wanted to spend some time exploring the fantastic scenery here. This also allowed us to stay in the palm oasis until sunset and have it to ourselves after all the day hikers left, and in the morning before any arrived. There are some nice campsites about .75 mile from the palm grove, off to the left, behind some large rocks that serve as great windbreaks. Fun scrambling on all sorts of neat rock formations in the area. | |
