Hiked to Lost Peak via the Tejas Trail. The fall colors were very nice during this time. I remember the drive to get to the trailhead taking a while.

I really enjoyed the northern end of this park. The drive to the Dog Canyon TH on NM 137 is enjoyable, as well. I was a bit surprised to see the giant cairn on Lost Peak after visiting several peaks in the park with little or no cairns.
