Lyell from Granite lake

BOLD TEXT HERE This is one of the most beautiful areas in all Yosemite, and is barely over 1/2 mile from the summit of Tioga Pass. It IS a steep climb, but for it you get staggering views in all directions. The Gaylor Lakes basin is the home of the 3 Gaylor lakes, and, against a perfect cirque wall, the 2 Granite lakes, the lower of which is in the photo. Mammoth is on the laft, with Lyell and MacClure in the distance.
