Mac Leod Peak

Seen from Mac Leod Lake. The climb from here to the summit is about 1000', and there are many options to choose from. We went around the left side of the lake, got on the snow, and used one of the couloirs between the summit area and the tree-studded subpeak between it (the summit) and the lake. The snow was moderate approaching the couloir and steep in the couloir; above the couloir, the snow became moderate as it neared the summit. Gros Ventre Range, WY-- 2009
