This was one of the first Gros Ventre peaks I hiked after moving to Jackson, Wy. Not knowing much better in those days, my friend Dave and I headed up Swift Creek and climbed directly up the little valley on the peaks west side. Very crumbly and rotten. Since then I've done the peak twice more; once from the Corner Peak-Macleod saddle and once from Macleod Lake itself. The latter way is probably the easiest and best route.

July 4 was my fourth time on this amazing summit. I hiked up with fellow SP'er Bob, the first time I had hooked up with an SP'er to ascend a mountain. We continued across the ridge over to Corner Peak, my first time making the fun traverse. The weather finally broke when we were almost back to the trailhead, turning the trail into a creek. It is fun when you can combine the peak with fishing in the lovely MacLeod Lake.
