Scooted on over to MacComber after summiting Tower. Killer views along the ridge of Hematite Basin & lake. The wife and dog stayed on Tower.

With Tower and Dome
Up Hematite Gulch, on to Macomber, round to Tower, and then the traverse to Dome, involving a drop down into Cataract Basin. N ridge of Dome not as bad as it looks. Down via NE ridge of Dome and out via S Fork Animas trail.

nice autumn day
Nice and easy hike into Hematite Gulch and Lake, ascended the south side of horseshoe ridge, ascended over Macomber Peak, continued to Tower Mountain and east on the high ridge peeking into a Cataract Basin. Dropped back down and connected with Hematite Trail lower down.
Lovely day, did not see anyone.
