Making camp at the "First...
Making camp at the "First Window" (9,880 feet) on Casaval Ridge. George, my tentmate is standing behind another party's tent. They climbed up to 13,000 feet before turning around after running into 100+ mph winds. George and I would take their spot while we dug out another spot for Bill and Bill. John and Randy stayed just over the horizon and it would be impossible to see where their tent was at night without a shot of lightning. Afternoon of Feb 22, 2002.
