Common Linnet (Carduelis cannabina, syn. Linaria cannabina – in Polish : makolągwa) – a small bird of the finch family, Fringillidae.
It is possible to come across linnets in entire Poland, and in the mountains up to 1800 metres.
Common Linnet is arriving to Poland since March, and is flying off for the winter in the October.
