Loose/exposed rock near the top not very fun. Chimney was good though.

Via chimney
Climbed via the "deep groove/chimney cut into the right side of the face" described by Burd. The left slot of the chimney has three easy scrambles 10-15' each -- you can skip the first of these by starting up the right slot then ducking through a hole. No real exposure anywhere on this route -- a nice quick climb to work out the kinks after the long drive from the bay area. Climbed with brother Andrew.

This was my last objective of what turned out to be a long day: Crystal Crag-Mammoth Crest-Sherwin Crest-Mammoth Rock. I just made it up to the summit before needing to turn on my headlamp, but the downclimb was done in the dark. Glad it was pretty easy with generous holds!
