Manly Beacon from the route to Red Cathedral. The salt pan of Death Valley, where the Western Hemisphere's lowest point is, lies beyond, and Telescope Peak, more than 11,000' above it, is in the distance. You can also see the upper portion of the easiest route up Manly Beacon.

Hasn't voted | If you ever go back, use an SUV or truck and get out on all the unpaved roads in the park; there are incredible wonders, and you can sleep in the car or camp just about anywhere.
