Maple near Jurline

There are 5 different types of maple which grow on Velebit: Acer pseudoplatanus, Acer platanoides, Acer campestre, Acer obtusatum & Acer monspessulantum. They give some amazing coloring to the mountain in autumn. Some are completely yellow, some totally red, while some trees have all tones, from yellow to red like this one above. Photo was taken on the plateau between Velika Paklenica & Mala Paklenica canyons.
