The miracle of life while most easily observed in woodlands lives a fragile coexistence with human development which has lead towards major changes most notably deforestation making it nearly impossible to observe a fully grown tree past a certain size...I for one tried to uncover any old growth forests knowing that such forests (despite consisting of smaller eastern varieties of evergreens) still had trees which could attain a height in the vicinity of 200 feet. In proximity to where this image was taken the "Foret de l'aigle" (in the Maniwaki region) is said to hold an old growth forest which can be visited from above by a lifeline linking such trees for a fair distance...
