March 15, 2003. Mount Sherman from about 1,000 feet above kenosha Pass. I used a 2X lens so it's not the best shot.

Gemini Peak

A bit fuzzy but the picture works. Sherman is the bulky mountain in the center of the photo. Gemini Peak is the point to the right of Sherman. At 13,952-ft. Gemini Peak is actually one of Colorado's highest 100 peaks. It is an officially ranked summit. The ultra broad ridge descending down from Gemini is its east ridge.

My upcoming route recommendation for Mt. Sherman will make this a fun hike. Most people find Sherman to be a mentally boring hike by the standard route. So here's my idea. Start at the Sacramento TH and ascend Gemini's fat, grassy east ridge to gemini's summit. descend Gemini and hike .7 mile across a grassy plateau to Sherman's summit. No people, total solitude, and you get to bag 2 of Colorado's highest 100!
