Marie Couloir and the Diamond

Seen from the Lake Marie East pullout along WY 130. This was June 28, 2009. When I was back on July 6 to climb the couloir, the bottom strip of snow (the part that reaches the lake) had melted out.

The Diamond is the sheer face on the right; it is one of the most notable features on Medicine Bow Peak. Just left of it, almost dead-center in this photo, is Diamond Buttress.
