Marked with stones

Gran Parasiso (4061m) from the valley below Gran Paradiso glacier. Some 40mins from Vittorio Emanuele hut (2732m) is the entrance into the valley, which is amazingly colorful and scrapped off by glacier that used to extend all the way down here and lower. All around are colorful granite stones which were used to mark the path from the hut till the glacier. There are no painted marks here, which is nice. (1024 pixels) Photo: Aleksandar Gospic
