Martin free soloing the 5.6...
Martin free soloing the 5.6 chimney (in plastic boots, no less!) while Tod looks on. We had caught up with the duo ahead of us (a Mark and John). They had gone up to the ridge crest above but retreated when they found a notch that would have required a short rappel. Was this Argonaut's way of saying "noli me tangere?" Would we be rebuffed in our search for the Golden Fleece? May 2, 2004.
