First of the day
After picking up this one, we headed west and picked up North Peak near Battle Mountain. This was an enjoyable area to visit and hiking up to the summit area of Marys Mountain provided us with a good leg stretcher to start the day. Ken had stayed in a motel in Elko and I drove starting at 4:30 a.m. from the Salt Lake City area to meet up with him. Overall, it was a long day for me as we made it to a campsite around 9pm that night.
