SimilarI have a picture similar to this, from the same vantage point. I don't remember those buildings, though.

Re: SimilarIt's the Rothorn cablecar station and ski piste. Obviously a little shift in position would "get rid of them." But it was the start of the ski tour so I wanted it in this one....

Re: SimilarI think what I meant was that my picture was taken in 1971, and I don't remember those buildings; of course, they might have been there, I just don't remember them.

Re: SimilarCould be. I googled that the Blauherd cablecars weren't built until 1967 so probably Rothorn wasn't there yet in 1971.
Probably there was a lot more SNOW in your picture too, and glaciars...

MatterhornThere was less snow, as it was taken in September. I don't know if you're interested, but I have posted it already. It is on page 5 of my photos, when viewed with Most Recent. I've always liked it, even if it has a low rating here. It was really something to have that kind of dramatic view of it way back then, never having seen the Alps before.
