there are so many photos of matterhorn, showing the same thing, but i have seen very few from the summit. this one is great - a relaxed climber looking down on some wonderful scenery.

Matterhornthis year Castor and Pollux,Lyskamm and maybe Matterhorn, last Year to many people (traffic) in july on the mountain

No. HelmetDuring the 1950s no one wore a helmet. I climbed the Matterhorn two years earlier. I didn't notice any falling rocks. I wish the weather on July 2,1955, had been this good. Clouds obscured the scenery except only the highest peaks.
