One of the happiest moments/days in my life!!!!! *^_^*

Super awesome; love the view & LOVE the "Wave"!!!!! If you're doing this, you gotta do the entire traverse. The section after the North Summit is where the fun begins.

With Cliff M. Made the approach via Cathedral Pass in 2 hrs. First pitches were fun but cold! Traverse is spectacular--one of the best! Followed on the crack summit pitch and still found it challenging. If rapping from the summit with a 60m, follow a straight vertical line to the intermediate rap station, which can't be seen from above. I was seduced by a series of right trending ledges which looked promising until I ended up 15 feet short and had to down-climb a gritty and unpleasant drop to safety.

A true classic! Get on it! Enjoyed the part to the summit much more than what followed to the "wave".

Long day in the mountains with a lot of exposure. Great route! 5.7 crack up to North Summit a hard pull after a lot of scrambling.

Climbed with Paul F. Great day, wonderful exposure. Did not do North summit or northern part of traverse (a bit stout for us at that moment!). Nothing better than Toulumne!!!

Great day out. Simul climbed in my approach shoes. Amazing views, the wave is great, so is the knife edge later in the ridge.

Good route, went C2C in 9.5 hrs. Led two pitches to the crest (better to just solo really, it's all easy), unroped and traversed to the base of the north summit, led one pitch up a fairly burly (though easy) wide crack, with a finger crack to lieback off of inside, to the top. Simuled the rest of the ridge - nothing harder than 5.6 or so, although it may feel harder because all the crux moves are downclimbing. 2.25 hrs to the start, around 5 hrs for the full traverse, then about 2.25 back to the car. Do it!

The classic part of the traverse (south to peak) is good; the traverse from peak to north is chossy and only has one excellent section (the wave) I was happy to solo the whole first half (to the notch- easy/fun 5th to the ridge and then mostly 4th to the notch) but due to rock quality was glad to rope up on the 2nd half past the summit. its not as classic as its hype, though the south certainly is. perfect rock and cool views. exposed but not terrifying...Sept 2010

Can't wait to go back for some more Tuolumne granite. Super cruiser on Mathes with just a little snow.

Led two pitches to the crest, and simul-climbed to the North Summit at about the same speed as some of the other soloists. The 5.7 knob/crack pitch was a bit much with a heavy pack on so I had to ditch it at the notch to finish the pitch - stout!

Came back with Matthew Holliman. I led two pitches to the crest, then we soloed from there to the notch between the two summits. I tagged the south summit, and then led the 5.7 finger crack / knob pitch to the north summit (strenuous pitch for me). Beautiful day in Tuolumne !

Rapped off the north summit and then back down the notch -- some day I'll have to come back for the rest of the crest to the north !

Also attempted in July 2009 with Matthew, but we skipped the summits.

Full traverse solo w/ Die Zauberflöte on the mp3 player. Shivered at the base of the route for an hour waiting for the snow flurries to pass. Frigid winds finally subsided around the first summit, thankfully. Still among my favorite climbs.

Mary and I did the traverse, starting from a camp at Echo Lake. Although this climb is reasonable to do in a day, the camping by the lake is absolutely stunning and made for a very relaxed day. It took us about an hour to get to the start of the route and then 3 hours on the route. We saw a really nice marmot on the way down and were back in camp by the time the wind picked up. Fun day in a beautiful area.

Another awesome day out on the crest. I love this climb. Finished up the North Summit with a 5.9 variation followed by what I thought was a very difficult direct climb straight to the slings. Very intense!
