Mount Henry and Snowcrest Mountain (84 mi away in BC), the Purcells' first really big peak coming from the south......pretty interesting line of sight perspective!

Yep, no problem at all. It's fun to see people like you opening up many of Montana's "dark corners" for the first time on SummitPost. I'm still amazed at how many "gaps" there are in SP's coverage for MT, though over the last couple years there's been plenty of progress in closing them off. Yet for example I find almost no web presence on Mount Henry, much less Snowcrest (a little bit on bivouac.com is about all I can find on this important peak)......

I should add by the way, that I'm looking into moving up to Missoula sometime next year, so hopefully these views will be seen through my own eyes! :-)

Hey...I really appreciate that! "Dark corner" is a very appropriate analogy for NW Montana as far as documentation on various peaks for anything outside of GNP. I did my first Purcell this past June (Webb), they are a bit of a drive for me, plan on concentrating on a few more in the Whitefish Range next year along with the Swans, Flathead and the Cabinets. Hope your move goes well...Regards, Steve

Yep, looks like a good plan!

I'll be looking into finding people to hike and climb with once I get up there, so perhaps we can keep in touch. It's great how SP provides this kind of networking, but it's something I've not really made much use of until now.

Take care! - Dan S.
