Hiked up Corkscrew Gulch; to Red Mtn 1 and then ridge traverse to Red Mtn 3 and McMillan; descent to 550 via County Rd 14.

Great skiing
One of the best backcountry skiing destinations in Colorado!
With my dog Duchess a couple of times, now without her.
The top is often wind swept, so usually ski just below the summit.
2/25/17 - very windy summit, most skiers stay below the peak.
11/30/19 - another cold day, ski.
3/15/20 - ski.

Skied It
Climbed it from the Mountain Belle hut the day after a 3ft dump and skied down. Shitty crust up top, awesome powder below the treeline. Nice day.

Woke up at 8:15 on the last day of our two week vacation and looked out the window to see another perfectly sunny day. I could not waste this day, so I suddenly decided to do McMillan Peak, and am I glad I did!!!
