Hasn't voted | Thanks! Southern California was somewhere below the clouds. It was a nice day for a hike. | | Posted Apr 7, 2010 2:04 am |

Voted 10/10 | With all due respect, are you calling your
precarious positioning part of your "hike ???"
For the average person, a "hike" consists
of trudging up a developed trail, then
hanging out at the lodge afterwards.
Just curious.. What was going through your
mind when you were posing for this shot?
And, WHO was the photographer? Please tell. | | Posted Oct 28, 2010 11:03 pm |

Hasn't voted | Anyone can hike to this spot if they wanted to. It's located along the summit ridge of Cucamonga Peak not far off the main trail. | | Posted Sep 17, 2011 12:44 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Yes, I'm sure they could - but, not EVERYBODY
could do it with as much class and spunk as
you could, Melinda !
Sorry, but Cucamonga Peak doesn't sound familiar to me. Guess my destiny is to
remain a "boring" hiker here on the Big SP.
I'll google Cucamonga and see what I get .. | | Posted Sep 17, 2011 8:22 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Melinda, is THIS the same location.
For some reason, YOUR picture looks better
because of the "clouds" - and because it's YOU.
(or maybe the clouds might be called haze?)
Sorry, I was doing a scientific analysis
on WHY your picture was so popular on SP ..
Thanks for your time ... the analysis is complete. | | Posted Sep 17, 2011 8:31 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes, that's it. Other people also thought it was a good place to take a photo. There is usually a haze layer in the valley so I guess it looks more dramatic because of the clouds above it. | | Posted Sep 18, 2011 8:06 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Definately a keeper, most likely a heart stopper for her poor mother.... | | Posted Sep 16, 2011 9:42 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks! My mom doesn't like hiking or climbing mountains at all. It's okay though, not everyone enjoys being outdoors. | | Posted Sep 17, 2011 12:45 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Neither does my poor Mom, and a picture like that of me would not help matters one bit. Be careful but enjoy! | | Posted Sep 17, 2011 5:29 pm |

Voted 10/10 | My Mom doesn't appreciate the outdoors, either.
Too many skeeters !!!
I suppose people who DO appreciate the
outdoors LOVE to see Melinda's picture.
Somehow, it has an "air" of mystery to it.
My congratulations to the photographer !!! | | Posted Sep 17, 2011 8:44 pm |
