Hasn't voted | Ulrich was a very unique guide. Soft-spoken and shy as many guides but strong and reliable when the situation demanded it. For me it was a very humbling experience to be guided by Ulrich, especially on my first high altitude trek on the summit ridge of Breithorn (I was 20 years old at the time while he was already 66 years old and much stronger!) An interesting footnote is the fact that in his very long life, Ulrich rarely left the trusted surroundings of Zermatt even after becoming famous !
In looking over the list of achievements in your profile, I must already congratulate you for your quest of very lofty goals.
