Matt Lemke for making a page for this mountain. I`ve been up it twice, once solo and with a friend. Nice mountain with great views of the beartooths. The mountain Climbs fast with over 3000 feet elevation gain in just a few miles. The mountain doesn`t get climbed very much because it isn`t a officially 12,000 feet, When I climbed it in August 2010 I was only the 2nd person to sign the summit log that year. My map shows it`s elevation at 12,018 and both times I was up it my gps showed it at over 12,000 so maybe Metcalf actually is 12,000 feet. Anyway if you want to climb a Mountain and not see anybody this is the mountain for you.
