while hiking after dark - pretty frequent encounters providing there's a stream a few meters away from the trail
[taken by my daughter Hanna; in-built flashlight lit up the scene]

	Hasn't voted	Just one day back, in a different valley nearby (you know it happens quite often you don't feel like getting back so you stay till midnight:-), I was about to step on another salamander - luckily my daughter halted me. 	Hasn't voted	I've never been to the Bieszczady:) As to the reptiles and amphibians, I've seen lots of adders but not so many salamanders. In the valleys of the Mala Fatra, they seem to show up every night!
