Mokuaweoweo caldera from...
Mokuaweoweo caldera from Mauna Loa summit, 9/6/03. The camera doesn't do justice to the 600 foot cliff pictured here. The stark and pitch black lava from the 1984 eruption covers most of the floor of the 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 mile wide caldera floor.
