| Fun scramble, goes quite quickly. Not nearly as hard as some allude to. I read somewhere that someone called it one of the harder scrambles in Colorado. Hardly... Mostly Class 3 at most with minimal exposure. #27 of 31 in 10 days. | |

| Climbed up (and I do mean up!) from camp in Ruby to a shelf below Thirteen, then went up Monitor, over Thirteen, and up Animas. Descended back down to the basin from here through a series of steep loose sketchy gullies that we were not always sure would get us out okay, but it worked and we still made the train (barely!). | |

| Monitor gave more than we bargained for as Brian eludes to on this page. Lots of loose, San Juan kitty litter, routefinding, and exposure to deal with. Awesome peak though! | |

| climbed this via the NW ridge. More complex, loose and exposed than I thought. Very fun route with great views. You are smack dab in the middle of arguably one of the most dramatic basins in the Weminuche. | |
