Mont Blanc's Brenva Face....

Mont Blanc's Brenva Face. From the left, partly visible, is Col du Peturrey. Then on its left is Le Grand Pelier du Angle, and next to it the Pear Buttres, and then on its left The Brenva Spur. This face has seen some of the best climbs in the Alps, such are the Bonatti-Zepelli route and the Bouchard Direct route in the Grand Pelier du Angle. Picture taken from Le Tour Ronde, July 2003

Good Shot Man!

Nice view of lots of classic routes. Look at those seracs on the Aig Blanche de Peuterrey! No thanks man!

need help finding route name

I climbed 12 years ago one of the 3 couloirs on the left side of the brenva. It was the further right of the 3 leading up to the petturey ridge. On that picture the couloir and the climbing route is clearly visible. I can't remember the name any more. (the glacier on the lower left, follow the right fork into the main couloir to the left. Seracs further up. An other white band is leading to the big snow field @ the ridge. To get onto the snowfield we climbed the 90 degree ice, shadow in picture)

Anybody out there who can help? please drop mail to- stefan@backcountryfriends.com

thanks..stefan
