This mountain can be considered as the great Northwest Shoulder of Becca di Frudiera or Mont Nery (3.075m). From the Summit of the latter fact leads down to a Northwest watershed ridge that divides the Valley Graines/Forca (North) from that of Chasten in the South. The same presents a series of descending height Summit with Punta or Mont Soleron (2.887m), the Tip of Champlon (2.678m), The Forchetta (2.207m), Cleve di Moula (2.241m) which ends with the Becca di Meriau (2.200m) above the Torrent and Graines Castle. The Mont Soleron also has two secondary ridges with the first revolt in the Southwest above the Alpe Pera Piccola (2.242m), while a second down towards Northwest over the Alp (1.847m) and the two Frudiera also Frudière Lakes. Formed by steep rock walls alternating with grassy slopes is little known and poorly frequented except by local mountaineers, as even in the Guidebook "Monte Rosa 1991" by Gino Buscaini. Beautiful views of the valley below of Challand and to the South on the twin "Dames de Challand" (Becca Torché and Becca di Vlou).

Approach and Route
From Allesaz Hamlet (1.120m), just after the Tollegnaz Village on Regional Road between Challand St. - Anselme and Brusson in the beginning of the Val d'Ayas, go through the mule track towards Southeast that reaches the ruins of Alpe Raala (1.653m) and, changing direction towards the North-northeast, the subsequent Moula via trail n° 1/5 (1.885m; 1h'30/2h'00). Leaving on the left the same (North) continue instead to the Northeast with a path that, leaving on the left a television repeater and crossing at the base of the Southwest Ridge, continues in the same direction through between 2.200/2.400 meters and twice on the secondary branches of the torrent in Southwest Side. Reconnecting the final ridge to the above, through steep grassy slopes and debris-scattered tracks of the trail you will reach the Summit of Punta Champlon (2.678m; EE/F; 2h'15; total 4h'15/4h'45 from Allesaz). Continue towards Southeast on the watershed to the South avoiding some bumps and rocky asperities ("ollina" grass mingled with the rocks very broken) until reverting to the ridge at an altitude of 2.730/50 meters, where the ridge changes direction in the East-Northeast. With a stretch progressively simpler and less exposed to travel the last stretch that becomes almost walking camminabile (EEA/F+/PD-; 1h'30/1h'45 from Punta Champlon; 6h'00/7h'00 by Allesaz).
