Montaña del Fraile

Kessler on the Montaña del Fraile on December 26 2009 when we did the Ruta de los Volcanos. The hike has a reputation of being difficult, but Kessler thought it was pretty easy (except for the wind) and we actually climbed four extra volcanoes along the route. See the 2009 Trip Log for details.

I met you on Deseada!

Me thinks I have seen this kid in his green jacket on Volcan de la Deseada. We were returning as we had decided it was getting too late to return to our car if we went on much further. After lunch on Deseada 1 we circled the crater and headed back across Deseada II where we met a father with his kid. Kessler didn't seem to be too happy in all that wind and this is why I remembered him.

A bit sad to think we missed each other after all this time on SP!

	Hasn't voted	Dang; too bad we missed you. Before we went, I was thinking of emailing you for some info on the islands, but never got around to it. That's too bad as if we knew you were there we could went on a trek together. On this day, Fraile and Deseada were the only sections of the hike that were really windy, which is why he's all bundled up. On the other sections of the route, we were in shirt sleeves.
