DAVID...

Hello; think you voted on my photo. YOUR photos are very GREAT. Seems like you have a PASSION for the PEAKS. I can tell, seeing your images! (WELCOME to AMERICA!)

Do you know that Mono Lake is drying up? Too bad! Did you actually make the summit of Mt. Whitney? Do they have a summit HUT up there?
Thanks for all the amazing images. ADVISE for you is: KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING! Thanks!

Re: DAVID...

Yeah, I knew Mono Lake is drying up (LA needs drinking water, I guess.) Thanks for all your nice comments. It's true, I do have a passion for the peaks, and I'll never let it go. Yup, I did make the summit of Whitney, and there is a hut at the top.

Mono Lake

dries up naturally every 500 years anyway; it's a big fucking caldera capable of ejecting 5-500 times the amount of volcanic material that saint Helens did in '80, which it does on average every 500 years. Latest major eruptive episode was between 1720 and 1850, and i doubt there was much of an ecosystem back then. Personally i'm much more worried about the Colorado River and the Rio Grande drying up because of excessive water usage...

Watering the Lawns

I don't mean to be a bitch, but Californians should stop watering their lawns on a daily basis and drying up the Colorado :P

Great pic, btw! :D

I know ...

water usage is a "hot-button" topic.
California isn't always to blame.
The Colorado River's watershed begins
in Wyoming; so we're always hoping
that they get plenty of snowpack.
In the Oquirrh Mountains of n. Utah,
they're talking about putting in
another ski area, so they're
apparently not worried about the
snowpack - guess they could always
jack up the JUICE on their snow-making
machines. Don't worry ... be HAPPY!

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
