Morris Peak from the Southeast

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Morris Peak from the Southeast
Morris Peak, Mount Jenkins, and Owens Peak, as seen from the Mojave Desert to the southeast. Mount Jenkins is the high point. Directly below Jenkins' summit the flattened ridge of Morris Peak's summit can just be discerned. Owens Peak is the snow-covered peak just behind and right of Jenkins and Morris. The rock formation in the near distance is Robbers' Roost, reputedly a hideout for Tiburcio Vasquez and other bandits in the early, pre-statehood days of California. March 12, 2006.
