Most of the route to Peak C\'s...
Most of the route to Peak C's summit is displayed here. The climb begins at Piney Lake and ascends the West Ridge (foreground) from the right via a steep couloir, the top of which is almost hidden by foreground rocks. The West Ridge south face is traversed to the West Face of Peak C, which is climbed via steep tundra, a second couloir (Class 3), a steep granite ramp and tundra and more boulders (Class 2 or 3) to the top. Round trip minimum is 9 miles. Plan on a long, arduous but rewarding day. Fall, 2004.
