Mother's Day Buttress

Mother's Day Buttress

6th-7th Pitches- 100m- 5.5/ I advise simul-climbing these if you are as bored as I was at this point. Just head straight up easy ground past a fixed belay and tree on a significant ledge and continue angling right following a grove/crack through a small roof problem towards the top (easy to protect with a large cam). Make a steep move through the roof and belay off of any of several trees. Mother’s Day- 5.7, 335m/ Mother's Day Buttress, Cascade Mountain, Banff National Park, August, 2007

Re: bored?

I was bored with the route this day, no question...did not help that I could still see the TransCanada once the fog cleared...it is definitly no classic which is what it was sold to me as....a day out with Jo is a good day regardless...

at least you didn't have loud harley's blazing their presence down on the highway, which is exactly how it is here.
