Climbed today via Elbow Fork with my boy. Great day. Only saw one other guy who said he had a Moose encounter near the saddle. We saw tons of Moose tracks and scat, but no animals (thankfully). Very muddy and granular snow up top as to be expected this time of year. Great mountain with great views!

GO UTES!!!

Matthew Van HornChurch fork peak from Mt. Grandeur  Sucess!

Why are these peaks grouped together?

01/08/2011 Traverse from Grandeur to Mt Aire.

02/13/2010 Millcreek ridge traverse from Grandeur west ridge to Mt. Aire saddle. Lots of snow, scary cracks forming on the steep lumps of soft snow. Joe and I looked for an hour or more to find a safe place to top the rocky west ridge of Church Fork peak.

Traversed Mount Aire - unnamed peak - Millvue. The bushwhacking was a little tricky in Chacos but a great hike and recommendable to all.

Elbow Fork route. Did this hike in the evening with my brother in law. Great trail that is shaded the majority of the time. Nice elevation change, with amazing views at the top.

Bushwhacked up Churk Fork Peak from the Mill Creek Canyon and traversed over the mountain on a beautiful June day. In February I snowshoed up Mt. Aire and Millvue Peak on consecutive weeks as part of my recovery from a clavicle fracture.

We could not have asked for a better day. The gate was closed and from the gate to the TH we encountered several folks (and dogs)but after the TH we only saw a few others all day. The weather was great and the view from the summit was fantastic.

Great hike! It is an easy hike, but since I am so out of shape it kicked my trash. Only way to get into better shape though is to just keep going!! I hiked it with cubicleslave and soccerman.
