| 2011 is the most recent time I've been up Angeles but I've gone up here countless of times! Very enjoyable hike and it is always fun to make up your own route up! | ||

| LuminousAphid | Kids Hike ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 13, 1995 | |
| I'm gonna guess this was in about 1995, although I don't know the exact year. I was young and even this was a pretty long trail for me, but I had to get to the top and no matter how many times my grandma (she was a pretty fierce hiker) said "we should stop here" I kept selfishly rambling forward, until the scree ended at a short summit block. I just went on up and I don't think they could have stopped me, and this was probably my first truely meaningful summit. I had lead the way up, instead of being dragged along by my parents, and that meant something. The views were awesome | ||

| Standard route - I think was the first time I attempted a Class 2 peak. I remember thinking it was really scary at the time. :) | ||

| Redwic | Great Snow Climb! ![]() Date Climbed: Feb 5, 2012 | |
| I cannot believe... -> We had a group of 12 people, some of whom are prominent local peakbaggers, in our group. and -> None of us had previously summited Mount Angeles until this trip. We took a short route that gained nearly 2000' in the first mile. Great views, great snow climb. Here is a helpful tip: Do NOT take the "obvious" gully... go around the left side of the rocks to find the correct snow chute that leads all the way to the summit. Highly recommended snow climb. | ||

| PeakPirate | Where was the wildlife? ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 16, 2011 | |
| Great Views. Had a little difficulty with other people knocking lots of rock on us but well worth it. I just didn't see any wildlife at all. | ||

| Hard packed snow allowed us to wear crampons car to car. We had great views once we got out of the trees. | ||

| "Billy" (the goat) was guarding his mountain...saw a fat marmot, several not so fat marmots and a black bear. It's a bit unnerving scampering around on the loose gravel & dirt, but well worth the climb. Great views on this beautifully sunny day! | ||

| PaulRomano | Perfect day on Klahhane Ridge Date Climbed: Jul 17, 2010 | |
| Made it all the way to about 100 ft or so below the summit. I must have started ascending the wrong gully because from where I ended up, the climb to the top would have been a bit uncomfortable un-roped. That being said, with 75 degree weather and crystal clear skies, the hike was fantastic. | ||

| Climbed sometime in the summer of 1997. Tried the winter before while camped up there training for Mt. McKinley. We turned back then not liking the snow conditions. Didn't turn back on McKinley:) | ||

| TimmyC | Great scramble ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 25, 2007 | |
| I had a bit of a self-imposed epic, getting off the trail/route and then having no idea how to get back on it. After figuring it out (and kicking myself for missing a REALLY obvious trail marker), I summited in the rain and fog, then headed back to the HRVC. I want to do it again, this time knowing where I'm going. | ||

| Took the trailhead by the waterfalls, and hiked up to the climbers trail. Tried to make it up the "notch", and it looked doable, but a little more sketchy than we felt ok with, so we downclimbed, went further north around and made it to the top. Very good views. | ||

| Merlin736 | Fogged in ![]() | |
| Parked lower down on the road and hiked up in August. Had trouble finding the correct route at first. Unfortunately, the clouds had covered the summit and blocked our views - though at one point the clouds below cleared and we could look down and see our car, a tiny speck below. Didn't see anyone else out the entire time. The scree on the first part of the descent was as soft as butter - a pure delight to descend. | ||
