| LDuszer | WINDY!!! ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 20, 2012 | |
| I almost decided to turn around a few times because the winds were so high (almost 70 mph according to someone taking measurements). I reached the summit in the late afternoon with my dog, and the views were great. Passed a family with a baby while I was headed back down...hope they decided to turn back for the kid's sake. | ||

| Yooper | Windy, windy, windy, but beautiful ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 20, 2012 | |
| I hiked from Mitchell Lake Trailhead/Beaver Creek Trailhead to the summit of Mt. Audubon. Passed a few people that summited on the way up, but most out that day decided to turn around. The slope from the saddle to the summit was snowy, in some cases knee deep between rocks, and icy - glad I had ski poles (some hikers actually had ice axes). Sustained winds of 47mph up top with gusts of 67mph - wind chill putting temps down into 10s. Beautiful view! | ||

| Climbed Mount Audubon from Brainard Lake Trailhead. Awesome views of Longs Peak, Meeker and Pagoda from the trail, as well of Paiute, Toll, Pawnee and Navajo Peaks from the summit. I hit Naudubon "Notabon" (12,706 ft / 3,873 mt) on the way back to the trailhead since it was right there. | ||
