Belford and Oxford in the same day. Camped at the top of the switchbacks the night before and bagged both of them early the next day. Beautiful. Numbers 11 and 12.
Perfect day on Belford. Started a little after 5a (parking lot was already half full) was on the summit by 8a then headed over to Oxford. Clouds built rapidly on the way down and I was concerned for the late starters, but they caught a break when the clouds dissipated as quickly as they appeared.

A great start to the 14er season! Good friends and good weather. A little steep at times, but we all made it. Shadow's (our black lab) first 14er!

Missouri Gulch
What a great day out with friends! The return from Oxford back to Belford is brutal, but well worth the extra effort to knock out both peaks in one push. Altogether a beautiful hike on a very well-maintained trail.

Beautiful weather. The 2200 ft glissade down the northwest gully made my weekend. Perfect glissade snow.

Bagged Belford via Missouri Gulch
We made 2nd team on summit with a 03:15 a.m. start. Clear weather brisk wind on descent with clouds looking like rain but no lighting - Will climb again in combo with Oxford.
Did Belford and the Ox - summits on both; cold windy and snowy 6-12-13. Camped at the cabin Fri night and 4:30 am start.

Missouri Basin and Missouri Gulch
This was a repeat climb, as Belford was my 6th 14er, back in 1976. That time, I came in from the south to Elkhead Pass. This time I hiked up Missouri Gulch with my wife and daughter. After camping overnight, Belford made their 5th and 2nd 14ers, respectively. Had to run down to escape the rain coming in at midday, but mild weather overall.

Had planned on climbing Oxford, but due to pouring rain and very low visibility we settled for only bagging Belford.

Belford and Oxford
Did Belford and Oxford in one day. A long hike, but the weather held and the views were spectacular. I suppose I'll have to revisit the valley to tackle Missouri later!

Missouri - Belford - Oxford
Did all three in one long day. Started at 3:40am and finished around 2pm. Did Missouri first then Belford and Oxford. For the stats sounding so huge, it really wan't to bad. Personally the switchbacks at the start of the trail were the toughest part up and down. Weather held up for most the day. On Belford we followed the ElkHead pass trail to save a little elevation and then cut over too the southwest ridge on Belford. Beautiful area, definately looks worth staying a couple days up in the gulch.
