Kind of a long slog with snow from ~9k feet. Didn't have the energy to continue to Baldy. Trip report.

I have been wanting to climb Belknap and Baldy for awhile, but the weather has never cooperated. Finally, we were able to climb Belknap. Along the ridge traverse to Baldy, a storm developed in a half hour forcing us to seek shelter in the trees below Belknap. Due to the size of the storm, we had to bail on Baldy. Belknap was as loose as advertised

Started on the Big John Flats Road at around 10,900ft. It took us an hour and 20 to reach the summit of Belknap. We did Baldy after and it took us an one and forty-five to reach the summit of Baldy from the summit of Belknap. Then we went down to Blue Lake and hiked up to our cars. Awesome Loop! The views of Baldy are so colorful!

Started at 1st Big John Meadow. 19 mile loop over Belknap and Baldy. Much extra elevation for snow-avoidance. Lots of damage on road to Marysville; 5 to 6'deep gouge in the road above 11k'.

Belknap seemed intimidating but the closer I got the less it became. The summit of Belknap offers the best views of the Tushars. It was a quick and easy climb. Time constraints did not allow me to continue to Baldy.

Very interesting terrain and awesome colors every where. Greg and I saw some mountain goats while we were there. Off the summit, we decided to go straight down the face. I stepped onto the loose tiny rocks and just went sliding, like a was skiing on rocks! At the time I was a little scared, but after I thought it was pretty fun. Let's do it again!

Got out of Vegas late, but still found time to take a leisurely stroll up this one when we got in. Weather threatened, but never did anything.

Fantastic scenery in this area. Reminds me of parts of Colorado.

Left Salt Lake City on a Friday and camped at Big John Flats, Started out on Saturday at 8:00 am from Beaver Creek Road and made the Summit by 9:00 am, drank some water and continued my trek to Baldy. Had good weather except for the gale force winds along the ridgeline.
