Mount Bole and Hyalite Ridge from Elephant Mountain

Mount Bole and Hyalite Ridge from Elephant Mountain

Bole is the peak on the left. From Elephant, the route to Bole follows the ridge system. First up is the unnamed and unranked peak in the foreground, which appears to be the most challenging summit along the route but can be bypassed on the east (left). Next is Point 10,211, which can be scrambled or bypassed. Either way, you end up at a notch between it and the next peak. That next peak, another unnamed and unranked one, has to be crossed because cliffs on it and Bole take away bypassing and contouring as options. After descending that peak to a notch, the rest of the way is an easy walk up to Bole's summit. Gallatin Range, MT-- July 2011
