| Okay now, someone explain this to me- from the saddle of Democrat, the first "lump" you summit is Cameron... kinda felt like I DID climb an official 14er- Cameron... & that Lincoln was a mere "hey, let's walk 50 more feet & see what's up here!" Why in teh world would they even give Cameron a name if it's considered to be a part of Lincoln?!:-) Enjoyed the day, just caught in the thought! | ||

| I love this hike! I've done it about five times and last spring I went at it as a post Rainier workout. I took my video camera and spent quite a bit time setting up shots, but still got my best time...4 hours 24 minutes Jeep to Jeep. Running between the summit of Cameron, Lincoln, and Bross is an energizing experience... rock on! | ||

| I arrived Wed. night late. I had trouble finding my way to Kite Lake road. I wasn’t sure where the trailhead was but I made the right guess. I started hiking at 4:00am and summited the first peak at 5:45. It was still dark. That was pretty awesome. I grabbed a quick munch and moved on. The second summit was farther than I thought and wasn’t much to look at and didn’t even count. I continued on and summited Mt. Lincoln, the best out of the four. It was cold and windy so I didn’t even sit down. I moved back to the saddle and continued to Mt. Bross. It was an easy traverse on a mining road. After summiting Bross I descended down the west slope drainage, it was hell. I arrived back to my truck at around 9:30am. | ||

| What a great hike starting and ending at Kite Lake in Pike National Forest. Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln and Bross in one day is great! | ||

| Reached a rather non-descript summit from across the saddle between Mt Democrat. Stayed briefly, and took several photos on a clear, beautiful morning. Then on to Mt Lincoln. | ||

| This was the second leg of the Decalibron for us. I don't care what some may say, this is a mountain. Perhaps it does not pass full muster for a 14er, but it still was nice to get to the top before heading over to Lincoln. | ||

| My son, Patrick, and grandson, Shawn, and I climbed all 4 summits, and would have climbed South Bross if it hadn't rained. Had a nice glissade off the summit of Democrat, Cameron, and Bross. Shawn turned back before we started up from the saddle. Almost got run over by a mountain biker as I summited Bross. I wonder if he guessed what I ment when I ignored his wave? I wanted to give him a wave of my own but didn't. | ||

| Watch out for the dangerous exposure on this "pseudo 14er". Bring an altimeter so you can accurately estimate just where exactly the summit is. | ||

| I know it's not official, but when you climb four mountains in one day, it ocunts in my book! Hardly could tell where the summit is...ah well! | ||

| I did Cameron first, then headed on over to Lincoln. Cameron kinda looks like the surface of Mars. I had planned on doing Bross first, but I took the wrong trail and went to the Cameron-Democrat saddle. Oh well, all that extra hiking just builds character. | ||
