| Great day weatherwise, hit the trail around 8 and was at the summit with a crowd (25+) around 9:40 before I continued on to Mt Cameron then Mt Lincoln and returning through very difficult disuse trail and lots of screen on the mountain side sliding my way most of the way down. Stunning views from Mt Democrat to be topped by those of Mt Lincoln's. All in all fantastic and very enjoyable trip. | ||

| Last day of winter, according to the calendar, not mother nature. We wanted to do Democrat and Cameron, as I only had those two left in that range, but winds (crazy) prevented us from getting over to Cameron. There's always next time. | |

| Kessler, Shaylee , Kimberly and I decided to climb Mount Democrat. Mount Democrat was chosen because Shaylee wanted to do a 14er and it was the closest 14er to our house that I already haven’t done and since we missed this one last year when we climbed the other nearby peaks. It was also a short climb and I needed to get back early because I had things to do. After driving to the trailhead we set off for the summit at 8:30 am (in summer it would be better to start earlier, but there was no threat of thunderstorms today). We made it to the summit in a fairly fast 2 hours 20 minutes, taking two rests along the way. After spending nearly an hour on the summit we set off back down to Kite Lake. It was a perfectly clear day with not a cloud in the sky. | |

| A road closure early on tacked on another 9 miles to the trip. Had just enough time and energy to bag Democrat and drop back down. It was a very cold morning! | |

| Came up Lincoln Amphitheater and got all 4 (Lincoln, Bross, Cameron and Democrat) before having to bail down to Kite Lake because of a storm. Found a nice couple to give me a ride back over to my car. | |

| We tried to to the Decalibron loop and experienced 70+ mph winds that made us turn back. We were able to reach Democrat and Cameron but turned back after Cameron because we were having to crawl so as not to get blown away! Had some windy days on other mountains but none like this | |
