Four in a Day  Sucess!

Wouldn't say great hike, but enjoyable enough, combined with the other three in the range.

First of three  Sucess!

Took me three and a half hours to get to the summit from the Corey's Road TH on a warm, mostly clear day. The herd path to the west that takes you to the col between Seward and Donaldson was a much more pleasant ascent than the herd path to the north of Seward. Good views from Donaldson though.

16 Miles on a Great Day  Sucess!

Summited along with Mt Emmons and then Seward Mt. Great weather, and the trail was even dry! Took the Caulkin's Brook trail, was very easy to follow and easier than coming up from the Ward Brook trail. Great day, just under 12 hours. Mt Donaldson has a couple great spots to rest and enjoy some really great views too.

Donaldson Mtn.  Sucess!

Summited Donaldson Mountain 4140' on a wet, stormy day. Our group of 5 started at the Seward Range Trailhead and followed the trail towards Calkins Brook. We took a left at the cairn near the brook, crossed the brook, and followed the heard path to the col between Seward and Donaldson. From here it was an easy but muddy walk to the summit. We then continued on towards Mount Emmons.

Ascended via Calkins Brook with RD Jim. #36/46. Wet and muddy, patches of snow on the ridge. Challenging but fun day to complete the Seward Range.

Seward Range  Sucess!

A nice peak. The rock just below the summit was a great spot to rest for a bit, and soak in the views.

Seward Range  Sucess!

I climbed this as part of a weekend backpacking hike with the ADK.On the same ascent we also did Seward and Emmons and the previous day we climbed Seymore.During this particular morning the summit was socked in with clouds. The trail was very nice with a plush green carpet of mosses. The wilderness here is wonderful. This is some of the best NY has hidden within......Jw

Route climbed: from Seward

Over from Seward the same day. The weather was amazing, as was the depth of the mud in the wet areas.

Not much of a view from the summit but a fun hike anyway.

Easily the best views of the three. Calkins Brook HP in good shape. Walk along ridge - terrible. Mud everywhere. Pleasant day to be in the mountains though.

Carrot Cake Cliff Bars Rock  Sucess!

Possibly the best view of the bunch comes from this guy, Donaldson. Crazy dragon-fly activity on the summit. Those things sound like g-damn choppers when they whiz by.
