Quick 2 day run to the summit
Quick run up with my Wife - had a couple of spare days before flying out of Uganda, so thought we'd squeeze another mountain in. We'd only just conquered Kili and Mt Kenya at the begining of OCt.... what were we thining!

Summit in one day
Very baeutiful although too tired to enjoy the view from the top. Took a motorbike from Budadri to last village at 5 am and summited wagagai at 1 pm. made it back down by 630 to last village. The guides office told me i have the world record for wagagai and back in one day.

Route Climbed: Sasa Trail to summit and descended Piswa Trail Date Climbed: August 1998Great trek through varying terrain from bamboo forest to rain forest, reached both Wagagi Peak (Mt Elgon’s summit) and Jackson’s summit.
Saw plenty of monkeys and a Golden Eagle from Jackson’s summit.
