Eva and Witter
Started at Fall River Reservoir, cut south along the creek that flows out of Chinn Lake, followed the northern shore of Chinn and Sherwin Lakes and then headed up to Slater Lake before heading west towards the saddle between Witter and Eva. Hiked up Witter first and then followed the Divide to Eva. On the return we scrambled down Eva to the saddle between Eva and Pt. 12,850.
climbed Eva with Parry from Berthoud Pass. Got caught in a whiteout on the return, almost got lost.

Climbed from Wittier on the way to Parry and Bancroft, and then again on the way back towards Berthoud. #4 of 7 summits for the trip.

First 13er
Mount Eva is the first mountain I summited over 9K feet. I climbed the East Slope on a cold morning from my campsite at Chinns Lake. Mount Eva was love at first sight. Standing on top changed my life. I was now convinced that I could do this, I could climb mountains. A month after Eva would come Sherman, the first 14er that I feel I earned.

From Berthoud Pass in winter
Out and back over Colorado Mines, Flora, Eva & Witter. We found the north slopes of Eva to be 100% safe and mostly windscoured on this occasion. Snowed heavily on descent and later an avy closed Berthoud Pass!

E Ridge Direct - CO Mines Pk
Ben and I did the East Ridge Direct with the exciting rappel then traversed Parry, Eva, Flora and CO Mines to Berthod Pass.

Second time up, climbed with Shanahan96 and Jamie Nellis in a loop with Parry and Bancroft from the Fall River Reservoir trailhead.

wind tunnel
climbed eva from chinns lake basin. the predicted 40-45mph winds with 70mph gusts were there to escort us from the eva-witter saddle to the summit.
easy peak, but the summit had a forboding feel with the snow and wind.

Berthoud to Rollins Traverse
Part of a nice traverse we did from Berthoud to Rollins, netting 8 peaks from Colorado Mines to James (dropped off the divide after James due to weather).
Climbed from Berthoud Pass after Colorado Mines and Mt Flora. Most of the connecting route from Flora was windblown and fairly snow free. There was a hardpacked and steep cornice building on Flora's north slopes. These slopes seem steep and if there is more snow may be at risk for avalanches, if you attempt this route in winter please take care while descending Flora's north slopes.
